On a cold wet and foggy night the sun really was shining on Fearnley Mark Lodge No 58 the Prov.G.M R.W.Bro J Trevor Bolton, The Deputy Prov.G.M W Bro Andrew James Brown, The Assistant Prov.G.M V.W Bro Philip Oldfield and no less than 18 Acting Provincial Officers attended an Escorted Visit under the direction of The Provincial Grand D.C. W.Bro Mark Holland at Mirfield.

With around 60 in attendance we witnessed an excellent Advancement Ceremony lead by WM WBro Steve Broadbent and his team. There was a great deal of business to get through, the admission of the PGM was Item 15, but the very capable Lodge Secretary ensured this was all dealt with promptly but properly.

The Candidate this evening was Bro. James Wrigglesworth from Mirfield Craft Lodge a 3rd generation Freemason, so Fearnley have chosen wisely with Freemasonry in his blood. The secrets were delivered in an exemplary manner by WBro Tony Mackrill, and the Lodge even benefited from an additional joining member.

The festive board was a hearty Pea and Ham soup, Fearnley Steak and Kidney Pie, Chips and more mushy peas, washed down with Treacle Sponge and Custard (no peas on this course).

Over £280 was raised for the Cleeves and Whitehead Trust and everyone went home with full bellies and a smile on their faces.
Keep smiling, be happy Brethren and let’s keep the magic magical.
