On Tuesday 24th March 2026 the Provincial Grand Master R.W.Bro. J. Trevor Bolton was there to see Bro. Alastair Robert McIntrye Installed as Worshipful Master in a great team effort with several contributing to a wonderful ceremony. There were many from across the Province and beyond there to see it too.
The meeting as did the Festive Board ran smoothly and all completed in three and a half hours. Not rushed just run with efficiency allowing all present to go home at a reasonable time, surely a way to encourage visitors and those travelling some distance to come again.
Alastair spoke of what a wonderful Provincial Grand Master we had and how well our Province was doing. He would certainly try to contribute to this by visiting wherever and whenever he could. Trevor thanked Alastair for his kind words conceding that perhaps Old York was The Premier Lodge but, only in Cleckheaton! Going on to speak with passion about the work Almoners do across our order no doubt picking up on the fact Old York had got five widows attending the forth coming Almoners lunch. He encouraged the visitors to go back and see how many people were attending from their Lodges. Company and a busy social environment really help those who perhaps live alone and the smile it brings to people at such events is simply amazing.
Great company and great food were the order of the day, and everyone present certainly had a fun and enjoyable night. Old York looks forward to welcoming you back soon.
