Pudsey Masonic Hall Monday 21st September and Pudsey RAM No. 658 were honoured with the presence of W. Bro. Philip Oldfield and W. Bro. G. Gary Parker both Assistant Provincial Grand Masters. Philip was there with an escort to witness the Porphyry stone being delivered in fine style by a delegation of Pontefract Lodge of RAM No.878 led by Gary who was there in his capacity as scribe of Pontefract, their W.C.N. being on other Masonic duties in his role as W.M. of Aireferry Lodge of Mark Master Masons No.1769.
Gary gave a fantastic explanation of the Porphyry stone and its origins, interesting stuff.
On to the ceremony where Bro. Cole Michael Brownjohn was Elevated in fine style by Pudsey RAM with a little support from the visitors. As was said later strive for perfection and you will achieve excellence and, it certainly was an excellent ceremony.
Cole will be an excellent addition to Pudsey RAM his interest in Freemasonry and its origins being of a keen interest into a strong researcher into it. Cole is both a Freemason here and in America. He is also a talented musician and although he says he ‘officially cannot play the organ or piano it looks like there are plans afoot by certain members of Pudsey to deal with that…..
