Proclamation at Lightcliffe Lodge of Mark Master Masons No.715

Friday 18 October 2024 saw W.Bro. Stephen J. Turner stay in the chair for a further year. A simple, fun, and enjoyable ceremony saw Stephen proclaimed by W.Bro. John Parker their brilliant and efficient D.C.

Representing the Prov.G.M. was W.Bro. William Light Prov.G.S.W. who is everywhere at present, hard to believe this was his first meeting representing the Prov.G.M.  W.Bro. Keith Bradley was also present as representative of the Cleeves and Whitehead Trust. Also present was W.Bro. Andrew Taylor President of the H.H.D.I.M.A. who again is certainly getting stuck in and enjoying his role visiting around both his own I.M.A. and other I.M.A’s.

The good news for Lightcliffe is that they have a candidate for November in Harry Clough of Lightcliffe Craft Lodge No.3332 and, two further candidates in view.

It was a busy Festive board and the food as always at Lightcliffe was first class.  It was also a costly one too, well certainly for Steve who kept his earlier promise upstairs in the meeting and bought everyone present a drink.

Billy Light brought greetings from the Prov.G.M. and gave his own congratulations to those from Lightcliffe who had received honours back in April.  Billy then spoke of all that was happening in the Province going on to promote the Provincial meeting to come at Bradford Gramar School in April. Keith Bradley then extolled the virtues of both the M.B.F., the Cleeves and Whitehead Trust and, the wonderful work they do.

A lot of kind words were spoken about the visitors and, what they bring to any meeting by W.Bro. Steve Wood who stood in as J.W. for the evening.  Steve thanked them all for their company and for making it a great night.  In response W.Bro. Steve Spooner said they had certainly enjoyed a good ceremony, good company, good food and, would certainly be back.
