Wednesday 25th March 2026 and the great and the good, gathered at Wetherby Masonic Hall for a brilliant night of Mark Masonry.
Copley Lodge of MMM No. 111 were the hosts even though the meeting was in Wetherby. W.Bro. Richard Beecroft Hon Sec of L&DAMMM had work tirelessly to make the event a success with great support from his good friend W.Bro. Mark Holland the Prov. G.D.C. And it indeed was a great success. All four Rulers were present together with two Past Rulers, a full Provincial team and plenty of Mark Master Masons too.
There were three recipients of Grand Lodge Certificates; Bro’s Clinton Paul Howard, Timothy Peter Walden both of Haywra No. 525 and, Dwain Longley Pontefract No. 878. There were several others due to attend, but circumstances prevented. Our Prov. G.M. explained the purpose of the meeting and on we went. W.Bro. G. Gary Parker did a first class explanation of the certificates and the recipients then congratulated by all four Rulers.
Next was a super lecture ‘The Mark meets The Ark’ delivered in style, and humour which is standard fayre for V.W.Bro. Dr. Rod Taylor. All of Rods talks are like this which keeps the audience captivated. I am sure there will be applications ‘flooding in’ (see what I did there!) soon to join he colourful Ancient and Honourable Fraternity of Royal Ark Mariner, thank you Rod.
At the Festive Board Trevor thanked Copley for hosting the meeting and Richard for all the great deal of effort he had put in to the evening. Trevor closed by congratulating all those some of which were present who had received either first appointment or promotion in Grand Lodge.
