Eric celebrated his 103rd Birthday in fine style on Saturday 24th February 2024. He had a great weekend enjoying it. Eric has had a fantastic Masonic career which only started when he retired and, he is still active, especially in his R.A.M. Lodge. A member of Aries Lodge of M.M.M. No.669 and Pontefract Lodge of R.A.M. No. 878. He is also a member of seven other different orders and a Grand Lodge officer in most! Mark Simmons the W.M. of Aries took Eric a wonderful cake and a bottle of port to celebrate the occasion.
Also present was Gary Parker the Provincial Grand Secretary in the Province of West Yorkshire. After the visit from his Masonic friends Eric was heading out for lunch with his son David, his Niece Marion, and his next-door neighbour Susan. Not much can stop him, and I suspect they were going out to one of his favourite restaurants the local fish n chip shop. The room was absolutely full of cards which shows the respect and love held for Eric. The room was full of chatter and Eric so pleased to see his house so full.
