The Bradford Club, Bradford Thursday 13th March 2025 and Installation time for Aries. Aries are a little low on numbers just now but with the help and support of the visitors it was a great evening. A good ceremony with good company and, good food. W.Bro. Warren Marsden the Prov.G.Sec. together with, W.Bro. Keith Bradley elected representative of the charity committee supported by W.Bro. Stuart Prince Prov.A.G.D.C. were all on duty for the Province.
They saw W.Bro. Michael Astley take the chair which will make a total of four years in the chair having served through the pandemic the first time between 2020 and 2023. W.Bro. Mark Simmons did a super job in installing Mike and the ceremony was completed efficiently with fun and on time.
Down to the Festive board and due to a catering issue the Bradford Club treated us to a really great buffet style dinner which went down really well. Everyone enjoying their food in what has to be said is a great setting.
Warren spoke about the forthcoming Provincial meeting in April which is sold out for dining but, there is space meeting only wise to support the Provincial Grand Master in his own Lodge. Next year perhaps do as Fred Pontin always said ‘book early to avoid disappointment’! Warren also promoted the initiative to book on the website and get a Ruler to any forthcoming Advancement you may have and, the initiative to get the associations to rally together and create a ‘big night’ where several Grand Lodge Certificates can be presented at a suitable central venue. That way a Ruler and the Province can come along and support a truly great Mark evening.
Keith talked of the wonderful things our charity does and how well Mark, the Craft and the Holy Royal Arch are now working closely together to achieve even more not only for us its members but, the wider community in general. He also presented a charity patron collarette.
