Friday 14th of March 2025 saw the 3 Rs in operation (Reduce, ReUse, ReCycle) as Knaresborough were ReUsing a Past Master – W.Bro. Richard Hall in a therefore Reduced Ceremony. That said, it had all the usual makings of a Knaresborough Castle Installation with tea / coffee, biscuits, and pork pies from a local butcher. As a result the visitors received a friendly Mark welcome and were refreshed following their arduous journeys before starting the work of the evening.

In the Temple there was a warm welcome for W.Bro. Rob Barton Prov. A.G.D.C. who escorted V.W.Bro. Richard Puttrell P.Prov.Dep.G.M.as the Representative of the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master together with W.Bro. Richard Stone elected representative of the charity committee. The usual procession and Salutations took place.
The Junior Brethren were asked to leave for a short time, and my goodness it surprised them at how short their time outside was. This ReCycling lark saves a lot of energy.
The new team of Officers were Invested and Addresses to the W.M., Wardens, Overseers and, Brethren were given before the Lodge was handed over to Regular Business. V.W.Bro.Richard then Presented Bro. Steven Lister with his Grand Lodge Certificate with his accustomed aplomb and pointed out that Steve was now entitled to join a Lodge of Royal Ark Mariner to which several members present offered application forms! A cheque (in the form of a Monopoly £500 note) was handed over for the Cleeves and Whitehead Trust as the funds will go via Bank Transfer.

The hard work being completed everyone retired for refreshments and an excellent Festive Board. The sound of conversation indicated that a good time was had by all and everyone eventually wended their weary ways home, happy to have met, sorry to part and, looking forward to meeting again.
With thanks to
W.Bro.Kevin Lloyd
