Wednesday 21st May 2025 and a sizzling spring day at Tapton Hall, Sheffield
Not only was W.Bro. Steven Colin Hides proclaimed W.M. for a second year but, he also conducted a most sincere and wonderful Advancement Ceremony for Bro. Stephen Quick, a Master Mason of Pathfinder Lodge No. 8236. His delivery of ritual throughout the ceremony was word perfect.
On hand to enjoy the meeting was the Assistant Provincial Grand Master W.Bro.G. Gary Parker with an escort of Acting officers.
As you know progression in our order can be quick but probably non quicker than Bro. Stephen Quick who was appointed and invested as Asst.D.C. Gary, showing the class of our rulers not only presented the Working Tools but at the very last minute and without hesitation also addressed the 0verseers. Further good news for Cleeves with a proposition for a further candidate.
A super Festive Board and a drink was enjoyed by all. Congratulations to Stephen who said that although he was nervous when he first arrived, that soon disappeared with the warm welcome he had received. Not only from people he knew but those he had met for the first time. That certainly answered the question and explained why our order is called the friendly degree.
Congratulations to Steven, enjoy your year in the chair. Thank you to Cleeves for a super night and thanks to those visitors who helped out in various roles on the night.
