Bradford & District Association of Mark Master Masons Visit Gilkirke Lodge of Mark Master Masons No.812

Tuesday 20th May 2025 and the first visit of the new season to Barnoldswick.  There were 8 visiting Brethren from the association which included the new Junior Vice President W.Bro. William R. Light of Worth Lodge No.727.  Visitors make such a difference and the W.M. W.Bro. Simon Gazzard and, all Gilkirke were delighted with the numbers to swell the meeting and make for a truly enjoyable night.

The main event of the evening was the presentation of Grand Lodge Certificates to Bros. Darren Marchment and Graham Charles Privett.  This was done in style by W.Bro. Stephen (Sam) Cariss.  Sam as all that know him has his own style to any ritual which sees it delivered with meaning, sincerity and at the same time brings fun and enjoyment.

A fabulous Festive board with great company but with characters like Sam present it couldn’t be anything else.

A truly enjoyable evening made even more enjoyable by the presence of visitors.  The next visit by the Bradford Association is to Old York RAM T.I. on Thursday 29th May where a talk not seen by many entitled ‘A Tales of Two tracing Boards’ will be given.  It’s not too late to book in – markmasonry@hotmail.co.uk . I am sure you will be made most welcome.
