Everyone safely on board and the seen was set. It didn’t take everyone very long at all to get to know each other and the fun and chatter was great to hear. This year as last year over half of the happy gang were ‘first timers’ so pleasing to see the Cleeves and Whitehead Trust reaching out to so many and giving people a well-deserved break. Everyone at the Hotel which was again Inn on The Prom were so welcoming and really couldn’t do enough to help and make the stay so comfortable.
The weather was a little chilly, but it is England after all! This didn’t deter the fun and enjoyment. There were three trips during the week to Clitheroe, Southport and Liverpool. Clitheroe was a little eventful as there was not really anywhere for the coach to park, and it ended up in Lytham. Nevertheless, three super days out.
People being together with friends has a very positive effect on everyone’s wellbeing. It is so pleasing to see friendships developing with the smiles and laughter growing and growing. Many thanks to both John Gray and Tony Brailsford for all the effort they put in to ensure people were looked after and got what they needed.
It was so pleasing to see Jim Reynolds and Pauline on this holiday as Jim saw for the first time the fruits of all his efforts after twelve years of organising these holidays.
Finally thank you to the Trust for providing the holiday yet again which simply does so much good for so many people. Another great success.
