Friday 16th February 2024 and a fantastic night saw Steven advanced into Lightcliffe Lodge of Mark Master Masons No.715. Steven cannot fail to have been impressed by a very full meeting with almost fifty present. Marvellous to see was that there were thirty-five visitors which included ten Brethren all below the chair. It was also a Provincial escorted visit led by W.Bro. Andrew Brown the Assistant Provincial Grand Master.
A great ceremony well led by the Worshipful Master W. Bro.Stephen Turner. Some great ritual and no books to be seen anywhere. Great to see was not only the sincerity of it but, the fun way it was delivered. Plenty of laughter and smiles all way through. Surely a great part of what our order is about. The fun continued at the Festive board. A fantastic meal with speeches as they should be short, sweet, informative and, fun.
Steven was spoken very highly of as he was introduced to all present. He will no doubt bring good things to both Lightcliffe Lodge and our order in general. Steven said he was looking forward to getting involved in Lightcliffe and would be out visiting at the earliest opportunity. The best speech of the night was given by Bro. Will Hoyle who thanked Lightcliffe for a great ceremony, great food, great company and, a fun and enjoyable evening. Will was only advanced into Dartmouth Lodge of M.M.M. No. 545 a few weeks ago but was already out and about visiting and thoroughly enjoying doing so.
Full from a super Festive board the Brethren all smiling made their way home. No doubt looking forward to their next merry meeting.
